The derelict koan trilogy is a series of novels written and published by an Australian duo known collectively as derelict koan. The trilogy is a work of speculative fiction framed against a contemporary setting, exploring the interrelations between technology and imagination. Artificial intelligence and neural interface technologies are cross-examined against models of the human psyche from Greek mythology to modern psychiatry.
The first of these books — Three — is available now, with an audio-book slated for Q4 2010 release. The remaining two books of the trilogy are under production and scheduled for release in Q1 and Q4 2011, respectively.
These sections of the website provide background and additional content for people already reading the trilogy. For those of you who are not familiar with the books, the content here may seem disconnected. However, the first four chapters of Three are offered free of charge for anyone to read and enjoy in the excerpts section. Happy browsing!
